Passed away Sunday morning, October 25, 2015. Marilyn was born on August 29, 1927 in Kalamazoo the daughter of the late William and Ruth (Longjohn) DeBoer and had been a lifelong resident in the Kalamazoo area. Marilyn was a member of Haven Reformed Church and enjoyed spending time with her family. Surviving are her son, Bruce (Susan) Kroeze; 2 grandsons, Brett (Stefanie) and Bryan (Julia) Kroeze; great granddaughter, Stella; sister-in-law/brother-in-law, Phyllis (Clifford) Smith; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her husband of 65 years, Henry “Nub” Kroeze; son, Chad Kroeze; 4 brothers and their spouses, William, Gerald, Edward and Arthur; and sister Irene Potts and her spouse. She was employed with Kalamazoo Public Schools, in food services, from which she retired after 30 years.
