Marilyn M. McElroy, age 77, of Salem, died at 6:20 a.m., Tuesday, August 13, 2013, at the Hospice House in Poland, Ohio. She was born September 4, 1935 in East Liverpool, Ohio, daughter of the late Charles and Edna Irene (Willhelm) Griffith. Marilyn was a Senior Aide in the government program with Low Income for Seniors, for 12 years, retiring in 1998. She was a 1953 graduate of East Liverpool High School. Survivors include her two sons, Terry (Karen) McElroy of Leetonia and Rick (Cheryl) McElroy of Salem; a sister, Peggy Erwin of East Liverpool; three brothers, John Griffith of Elyria, OH, William Griffith of North Carolina, and Robert Griffith of Morgantown, WV; 5 grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild. Her parents and an infant brother preceded her in death.
