Marilyn (Weber) Lenhausen, 86, of Spring Valley, passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2015, at Walnut Manor. Mrs. Lenhausen was born on October 16, 1928, in Streator to Casper and Mabel (Kays) Weber.

She married Vernon T. Lenhausen in 1953 in Lostant. She attended Gregg Business School in Chicago. She was a secretary/bookkeeper for the Spring Valley Gazette and a retail clerk for Cassiday Jewelers. Marilyn was a member of Spring Valley United Church of Christ where she served as a church trustee, an educator for Sunday and Vacation Bible School, and was active in the church’s music ministry. She enjoyed contributing to the Church’s peanut brittle fundraising effort. Marilyn was active in the Spring Valley Elementary School PTA, a 50-year member of the Eastern Star, a volunteer at Lighted Way, a supporter of Stage 212, an avid Chicago Cubs fan, and a talented needleworker.

She is survived by her children, Paul (Terry) Lenhausen of Bureau, Pam (Joe) Wolf of LaSalle, Debra (Jess) Krueger of Lombard, and Elena Lenhausen of LaSalle; two grandsons, Ben and Zac Wolf.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two daughters, Judy Miller and Laureen Lenhausen; and one brother, Gilbert Weber.
