Marilyn Lane, 77, of Livermore, died on January 9, 2016 at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home in Fort Dodge. Marilyn Jean Vaudt, the daughter of Art and Margaret (Hohenberger) Vaudt, was born on October 14, 1938 in Livermore, Iowa. She graduated from Livermore High School in 1956. On January 5, 1958 Marilyn was united in marriage with Harold Lane at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Livermore.

She had worked as a bookkeeper for Dr. Rossing and Dr. Thompson. Marilyn had served on the Livermore Library Board and the Humboldt County Election Board. She enjoyed collecting dolls, cooking, playing cards, fishing, watching the Hawkeyes and Packers and spending time with her family. Left to cherish Marilyn’s memory is her husband of 58 years, Harold; three sons, Jerry Lane of Livermore, Jeff Lane of Prescott, AZ and Craig (Barbara) Lane of Waupaca, WI; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and a brother, Wayne (Mary) Vaudt of Algona. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Maxine Berte.
