Marilyn Sapp, 83, passed away on Monday, June 10, 2019, at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Kokomo, Indiana, on June 16, 1935, to the late Murrell Bud and Hildred McCarter. She married the love of her life, James Melvin Sapp, on December 4, 1954, and he preceded her in death on November 1, 2012.
Marilyn was great at many things, including gardening she could make any plant grow and making noodles, a trait she inherited from her mother. She will be remembered for her loving personality. It didn’t matter who you were, she would always greet you with a smile. Her hugs were filled with so much love, you instantly felt blessed after receiving one. A quiet person, she was delighted just to be in the presence of family. Most importantly, Marilyn’s faith in God was strong. While her passing will leave a great void in many hearts, we can take comfort in knowing that she is exactly where she wants to be in Heaven singing praises to God and being reunited with Melvin.
Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Robbi (Mike) Henson, Marion; three sons, Michael (Deborah) Sapp, Ft. Worth, TX, Randy (Lisa) Sapp, Westfield, and Steve (Shelli) Sapp, Sweetser; nine grandchildren, Mike Jr. (Tonya) Henson, Tasha (Nathan) Dalton, Lauren (Nathan) Calzada, Tiffany Sapp, Kara (Sam) Brooks, Ryan (Stephanie) Sapp, Tyler (Maggie) Sapp, Mackenzie (Scott) Tirman, and Christian Sapp; great-grandchildren; Kayla, Kathryn, Alexis, Trey, Makenna, Baylea, Ben, Bryar, Jack, Rylee, Isaac, and Jameson; three sisters, Phyllis (George) Reprogle, Sue (John) Wilson, and Sharon Snavely; brother-in-law, David Bryan; and a host of family and special friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Murrell and Hildred; husband, Melvin; and sister, Virginia Bryan.
