Marilyn June Castle, 75, of Freeport, died Monday, March 9, 2009at Rockford Memorial Hospital. Born June 22, 1933, in Orangeville, she was the daughter of Ralph and Dorothy (Messinger) Harnish. Marilyn worked at Burgess Battery for 20 years and then 11 ½ years at Micro Switch retiring on December 31, 1988.
Surviving is her son, Bruce A. (Marie) Castle; 3 grandchildren, Anthony B., Robert, and Bruce Castle Jr.; 2 sisters, Ellen (Jim) Stadermann of Winslow, and Lila L. Harnish of Freeport; several step-grandchildren; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 1 sister; and 2 brothers.
