Marilyn Elizabeth Morgan, 64, of Lafayette, passed away March 25, 2022, peacefully at her home with family close, following a long heroic battle with cancer since 2007.
Marilyn was born September 22, 1957, in the city of Tachikawa, Japan at the Tachikawa, United States Air Force Base to the late Lieutenant Colonel Richard T. Morgan Jr. and Lois Eleanor (Siemens) Morgan. She was a 1976 graduate of Delphi Community High School. She went on to obtain her Associates Degree in Office Technology from Ivy Tech. She was a dedicated employee at the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles for 23 years, before retiring at the age of 60.
Marilyn was an avid reader, you would very rarely catch her without a book, that she would always make short work of. She was also one of the biggest Chicago Cubs fans on the planet and loved watching televised games and being at Wrigley Field, when she was able. One of her biggest joys was being a Nana to nine amazing grandchildren. She also loved her cats Coa Coa and Sophia very dearly, they were almost always by her side.
She is survived by her uncle, Fred Womer of Noxen, PA; her children: James McKinney, Rebecca (Edmund) Archer, and Elizabeth (Jeremy) Harrison all of Lafayette; 5 sisters Patricia Whitus and Carol Juriga of Delphi; Belinda Morgan of IL, Theresa Morgan of Lafayette, and Colleen Morgan, and 1 brother Richard T. Morgan III, both of Illinois; 8 grandchildren Samuel, Kiersten, Tiffany, Courtney, Xavier, Xander, Breauna, and Alexis.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Lois; her Aunt Marilyn Womer of Noxen, PA; sister, Sandra L. Clark of Logansport, and granddaughter, Victoria Nicole Archer.
