Marilyn Donahue, 72, of Scottsdale, Arizona went to the Lord on August 25th, 2010. Marilyn was born September 3rd, 1937 in Muscatine, Iowa, the daughter of Fred and Mary Peters. She graduated from Muscatine High School and Clark College in Dubuque, Iowa. After graduation she moved to Kansas City, taught school, worked as a secretary to the owner of Hallmark Cards and then joined the IBM Corporation as a Systems Engineer. Marilyn was the first woman chosen to introduce the IBM 360 Computer to the business world.

Marilyn met her husband Jim in Kansas City and the couple married in 1966 in Muscatine. Their first beautiful daughter Shannon was born in Kansas City. Their second daughter Kelly was born in Detroit, the first New Year’s baby. The family then moved to Cherry Hill, New Jersey where their talented daughter Erin was born. They moved to San Francisco, California, then to Greenwich, Connecticut and in 1973 relocated to Phoenix, Arizona.

Marilyn worked for Salt River Project for 20 years and retired in 2007. While there she was recognized with the 1996 Karl F. Abel Volunteer Recognition Award.
