Marilyn Courter (Bailey), 86 of Lavallette, NJ died at home on Saturday, January 26, 2019. Born in Orange, NJ, she grew up in West Caldwell, NJ and lived in East Hanover, NJ for forty years before retiring to her summer home in Lavallette in 1995. She worked in the Retiree Benefits Department of Allied Signal in Morristown, NJ for many years after owning a small gift shop in Caldwell.
Marilyn was an active parishioner and Rosarian at the Parish of Padre Pio RC Church in Lavallette and an active fund raiser and supporter of Providence House. Predeceased by her loving husband of 63 years, Raymond “Mickey” in October. She is survived by her daughter Kathleen Kent of Lavallette and her son Michael and his wife Christine, of Telluride, Colorado. Four grandchildren; Connor, Melanie, Miles and Jack. Her sister, Dolores Landon of Caldwell and her brother, James Bailey of Livingston and many nieces and nephews who all loved her dearly.
