Marilyn Ann Davin, 71, of rural Pleasant Plains, IL died January 25, 2019, at her home.
She was born July 17, 1947 in Jacksonville, IL, the daughter of Frederick “Andy” and Eda Frances Minch Johnson. She married John Patrick “Pat” Davin on February 10, 1973 at the Church of the Visitation BVM in Alexander and he survives.
She is also survived by five children, Michelle Jolly (Joe) of St. Charles, MO, Karen Mankowski (Michael) of Springfield, Andy Davin (fiancé, Lindsey Snyder) of Ashland, John Davin (Jennifer) of Staunton, and Alice Seipel (Robert) of Ashland; 12 grandchildren, Jacqueline and Joanna Jolly, David, Thomas and Megan Mankowski, Dena Davin and Macy Snyder, Madelyn, Katelyn, John, and Henry Davin, and Hannah Seipel; five siblings, Robert Johnson (Linda) of Alexander, JoAnn Chumley (Robert) of Jacksonville, Annette Pignon (deceased husband, Mark) of Auburn, Richard Johnson (Sharon) of Alexander, and Yvonne Nolte (Cliff) of Golden Eagle; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Virginia “Ginny” Roberts; and a nephew and Godson, Matthew Chumley.
Marilyn graduated from New Berlin High School and was a dedicated farm wife, mother, and grandmother. In her spare time, she represented Stanley Home Products. She was a devoted and faithful member of St. Augustine Parish in Ashland.
