Marillyn Rose Haydel Brou, a retired nurse who passed from this life on April 11, 2016 at the age of 87. She was the last baby to be born on the Laura Plantation in Vacherie, LA to the late Albert Joseph Haydel and Edith Marie Copponex Haydel. Beloved wife of the late Vernon Antoine Brou for 57 years. Devoted mother of Vernon A Brou Jr. (Charlotte), Peggy Ann Brou, and Robin Rose Brou Antin (Robert). Survived by 5 grandchildren: Amelia Marin Hatheway, Elliot Pierce Hatheway (Stephanie), Lilly Marie Hatheway, April Rose Brou Hart (Evan), Robyn Ann Brou Contreras and 2 great grandchildren, Samantha and Christian Contreras. Predeased by siblings, Richard Haydel, Marvel Marie Haydel of Vacherie, LA, Dorothy Mae Hornot of New Orleans, La. and June Haydel Daboub of Mexico City, Mexico. She will be missed by her many nieces, nephew and friends, especially her best friend, Linda Rout, who she worked with for 14 years at Charity Hospital.
