MARILEA GRICE LEE
Marilea Grice Lee, age 95, passed away September 8, 2014 at her home on James Lee Blvd in Crestview, Florida. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, James W. Lee.
She was born in Cairo, Georgia on August 19, 1919 to Nettie Jeter Grice and James Ira Grice. She graduated from Baker High School and attended Florida State College for Women where she earned her teacher certification. She married James W. Lee of Baker on December 17, 1937. They lived in Baker until 1948 when they moved to Crestview to be near the family automobile dealerships.
Marilea taught English at Baker High School and the fifth grade at the elementary school. She was always a positive force in the religious community in both Baker and Crestview.
She is survived by her three children: James R. Lee (Dick) of Crestview and his children: Rich Lee (Kathy) of Tallahassee; Jennifer Lee Smith (Jamie) of Fort Walton Beach; Brett Lee of Tallahassee; and Lucas Lee of Laurel Hill. Dick’s grandchildren are Lauren and Brooke Lee of Tallahassee and Hunter and Logan Smith of Ft Walton Beach.

Annette Lee and her children: Michelle Anchors (Steve Medina) of Fort Walton Beach; Laurie Lee Curles (Patrick) of Montgomery; Rusty Anchors (Robin) of Fort Walton Beach and New Orleans. Annette’s grandchildren are Samuel and Chi Medina of Fort Walton Beach; Wesley, Anna Lee, and Mary Curles of Montgomery, AL.
