Marietta Schroeder, age 83, of Canyon Lake, TX, lost her fight with Ovarian Cancer on January 26th, 2020 with her daughters by her side. Marietta is survived by two daughters, Cheryl (Jack) Wilder and Kristin (Patrick) Ward, and five beautiful grandchildren, Brandon, Blake, Brittany Wilder, Ethan and Gabriel Ward.
Marietta was married to her childhood sweetheart, for sixty years. They grew up in Oregon, Illinois and started their family there, before moving to Florida. In the late seventies, they opened the first Creamery, an Ice Cream Parlor. For more than thirty years, Marietta was, “The face of The Creamery”. She always greeted the customers with a beautiful smile and warm welcome.
In 2007, Marietta was diagnosed with stage four Ovarian Cancer. Sadly, the decision was made to close The Creamery Café. Marietta and Bud then moved to Tallahassee to be near their daughter, Cheryl. “Bud” passed away in 2017. Marietta moved to Texas with Cheryl and her family. She has enjoyed the peaceful setting of living in the Rolling Hills of Texas and watching the huge family of deer that live nearby.

In addition to her immediate family, Marietta is survived by many other family members including Ronald (Geannie) Schroeder, nieces, nephews, Aunts, Uncles and cousins.
