Marietta passed away January 6, 2010 at he Chariton Nursing and Rehab Center in Chariton, Iowa. Marietta was born in Seymour, IA 1912 to Ernest and Maude Mae Duskin. She was a coal miner’s daughter, her family moved their belongings in a coal car from town to town for her dad to find work in the southern part of Iowa. Their last stop was in Chariton, when she was 8 years old. At the age of 16she married Frank E. Rodgers Sr. on July 25, 1928.
