Marietta Halver, 87 of Scottsdale passed away August 18, 2010. Marietta was born on August 22, 1922 in Boulder, Colorado. While growing up in Boulder, Marietta worked in her parents’ jewelry store and graduated from Boulder High. She later graduated from the University of Colorado with a B.S. in Journalism. After college she became a dance instructor at one of Arthur Murray’s Dance studios in Denver, Colorado. While working as an instructor she met and married her husband of 58 years, Stanley Halver now deceased. The couple lived in Bogota, Colombia for 7 years prior to returning to the United States and settling in Scottsdale, Arizona. Marietta is survived by two sons Mark Halver, DVM (wife Sharon) and Scott Halver (wife Allyson), and five grandchildren: Michelle (husband Jeff), Gregory, Steven, Lauryn, and Grant.
