Marielle Brousseau, 91, of St. Petersburg, Florida, died Friday March 4, 2016 at home with loving family by her side. She was a long time resident of Plainville before moving to Florida in 2002. The daughter of Emile and Rosa Nadeau of Gardiner, Maine, Marielle was born in St. Camille, Quebec, Canada and emigrated to the United States at a young age, first to Maine, and then settling in Plainville for fifty years with her husband to raise her family. She dedicated her life to her family, home making and to serving others working for many years as a nursing assistant at Plainville Convalescent Home and New Britain General Hospital.
She was predeceased by Paul Brousseau, her husband of 68 years. She is survived by sons Donald Brousseau and wife Charlotte, Alain Brousseau and wife Rini, both of St. Petersburg, and daughter Jocelyne Lessard and husband Marcel of Southington, ten grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, and one great, great grandchild. Also by her sister, Rachel Grey of Lewiston, Maine, and brothers Andrew Nadeau, of Maine, Jean-Ives (Jim) Nadeau of Plainville, and Norman Nadeau of Florida, and many nieces and nephews.
