Marie Wolford, 90, of Galien, Michigan, died Friday evening, August 5, 2005, at Lakeland Hospital, St. Joseph, Michigan, surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Wolford was born April 17, 1915 in Galien, to William and Mabel (Kenney) Carroll. After graduating from Galien High School, she attended the South Bend Business College. On August 21, 1938 she married Lawrence Wolford in Galien. He preceded her in death on December 14, 1984. Mrs. Wolford was employed as secretary to the superintendent and bookkeeper for the Galien Public School System, retiring in 1981 with 33 years of service. She loved spending time with her family. Mrs. Wolford enjoyed listening to the school band, was an avid Michigan State University fan and a Die Hard Cub fan.

Survivors include her sons Jerry (Linda) Wolford, Grove City, Ohio and Jim (Beri) Wolford of Lansing, Michigan; grandchildren, Marcy Downing, Jim (Nadeen) Wolford, Larry Wolford, Dan (Robin) Wolford, David Wolford, Dawn (Brian) Kendall, Todd Wolford and Mick (Angie) Rauch and 14 great grandchildren.

Her brothers, Robert and Raymond Carroll preceded her in death.
