Marie W. Galbraith
Former Executive Director of the Mattatuck Museum
Marie was born on September 19, 1946 in Mt. Vernon, NY, daughter of the late Arthur and Hortense (Seldner) Winans. Marie was a longtime employee of the Mattatuck Museum, rising to the position of Executive Director. She served as Representative in the Connecticut General Assembly.
Besides her husband of 55 years, Marie is survived by her daughter, Sarah Galbraith, three sisters, Virginia, Madeleine, and Rivka Winans; and brother Joseph Winans; and several nieces and nephews.
