Went to be with her Lord Wednesday morning, June 14, 2017. Marie was born May 3, 1920 in Kalamazoo the daughter of Lawrence and Anna (Barendsen) VerHage. She was a faithful member of Twin Lakes Reformed Church and enjoyed various activities there. Marie loved her family and especially enjoyed spending time with them; and attending her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren’s various events.
On October 12, 1938 she was united in marriage to her loving husband, Leonard “Lee” Timmerman who preceded her in death on July 18, 2005. Marie was also preceded in death by 7 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her children, Lavonne Counterman, Sandra (Ronald) Boelman, Robert (Paulette) Timmerman, Joyce (William) Hubbard, Michael (Bethany) Timmerman; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
