Marie Theolene Francois ne Osias was born on August 25, 1945, in Croix des Bouquets, Haiti to Moise Osias and Meronie Catule. Theolene completed her studies at Notre Dame du Rosaire, Salezene in Port au Prince, Charlotin Marcadieu and Lycee Jacque premiere des la Croix des Bouquet. Theolene also attended L’ecole Caye Mere Christ Roi Menager where she learned a trade as a baker and seamstress. Theolene later returned to L’ecole Charlotin Marcadieu as a teacher until she left Haiti.
In 1974, she met Joseph Rene Francois whom she married in August of that same year. In 1978, Theolene gave birth to her eldest daughter Martine Gretha Francois. She then migrated to the United States of America in 1980. As her first job in America, she worked as a nanny of triplets which she took pride in. While working, she studied to become a Certified Nursing Assistant. In 1987, Theolene worked as a Certified Nursing assistant at West Caldwell Care Center where she was employed for 18 years. In December of 1988, she gave birth to her second daughter Lisa Anne Francois.
Throughout the years, she was a blessing to everyone she met. She was well known for her cakes and volunteered herself endlessly as her desire was always to see people happy and smile. Aside from her biological children, she opened her home to her nine bonus children whom she helped to bring to America. She loved and nurtured them as her own. Theolene faith was strong, and she always expressed her love and devotion for the Lord.
On January 15th, 2022, Theolene was called home to be with the Lord. Sharing the memories of her wonderful life are her spouse; Joseph Rene Francois, her sisters; Marie Thenor, and Monique Simeon. Her Brother; Jean Moravia Osias. Her Children; Martine Gretha, Lisa, Philine, Rena, Raymond, Suze, Michelene, Magdala, Adeline, and Jean Rene Francois. Her Son-in-laws Edward Sealy, Edvenz Theluscat, Ansene Butto, Rosemond Victor and Gilbert Barthelus. She had an abundance of nieces and nephews and grandchildren.
