Marie Spaeth, 98, passed away at Jasper County Hospital AlternaCare in Rensselaer, Ind., on June 24, 2014.
Marie was born July 21, 1915, to George and Marie (Remn) Pfledderer in her parents home in Jasper County, Ind.
Upon graduation from the Francesville High School, Marie moved to Chicago where she lived until returning to Rensselaer 15 years ago. While living in Chicago Marie was active in her Lutheran Church, PTA, was a Hospice Volunteer and helped many other people. While living in Rensselaer she was a member of the Jasper County Hospital Auxiliary.
Marie married George Spaeth on August 12, 1943. She was preceded in death by her husband George on May 22, 1987, their son Walter Spaeth, her parents, ten brothers and four sisters.
Surviving Marie are two sisters, Donna Faris of Marshall, MN, and Jeanette Zaring of Monticello, Ind., along with several nieces and nephews.
