Marie Sawyers, 95, passed away on Saturday May 20, 2017, in Flemingsburg with her family by her side.
Marie was born February 13, 1922, in Breathitt County to the late Andy Miller and Gertrude Tharp.
Marie was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother and attended Christ Way Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include her daughters, Marietta and husband Otis Partrick of Flemingsburg, Delores and husband Bennett Amburgey of Leburn, KY, Kathy and husband Mark Carlson of Flemingsburg, Alicia Staton of Knoxville, TN and Darlene Sawyers of Williamsburg KY; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; nephew Wade Miller and niece Ruth Faye Cochran.
Marie was preceded in death by her husbands, Melvin Fugate and Edward “Teb” Sawyers; children, Melvin Fugate Jr., Marvin Sawyers, Bonnie Smith and Linda Musgrave; siblings, Eugene Roberts, Alene Craft and Nazie B. Miller.
