Marie Pannucci, 90, of Manchester, NJ, died peacefully, surrounded by family, at her home on Sunday March 18, 2018 . Marie was born in Castelnuovo di Conza, Salerno Provence, Italy and lived in Livingston, NJ before moving to Manchester30 years ago. Marie also spent 25 years wintering in her home in Delray Beach, FL. Marie was a long-time parishioner of St. Philomena Church in Livingston and St. John’s R.C. Church in Lakehurst, NJ. Prior to retirement, she was a supervisor and long-distance operator for NJ Bell Telephone.
She was a member of the Leisure Village West Bocce Club, Italian-American Club, and the Westerneers Club (choir). Above all else, Marie was devoted to her family and to her faith. She had a passion for sharing her Italian heritage, recipes, and traditions, including her famous homemade cavatelli. Marie also enjoyed gardening, sewing, crocheting, knitting, playing cards.
Marie is predeceased by her parents Francesco Sasso and Filomena DiRuggiero Sasso, her son Joseph Pannucci, her grandson Johnny Pannucci, and her sisters Elizabeth LaMorte, Josephine Wright, and Virginia Misale. Marie is survived by devoted husband of 70 years John A. Pannucci, Sr., son John A. Pannucci, Jr. and wife Pamela Pannucci, son Phillip Pannucci and wife Judith Pannucci, and daughter-in-law Helen Pannucci. She also leaves behind 7 grandchildren (Jennifer, Christopher, Chad, Nicole, Laura, Lisa, Danny), 5 great grandchildren (Nathaniel, Jack, Samantha, Ben, Abigail), and many beloved nieces and nephews.
