Marie Nevins Looper, 76, Anderson, passed away on March 25, 2008, at her residence.
She was born May 18, 1931, in Livingston, Tennessee. Marie moved to Indiana in 1954. On December 22, 1956, she married Kenneth Looper and has resided in her home in Madison County for the past 46 years. She retired from South Madison Community School Corporation in housekeeping. She was a member of Ovid Community Church. Marie loved to crochet and make crafts of all kinds. She volunteered at St. John’s Health System making hats and blankets for newborn babies.
She is survived by her son, Tim & wife Cathy Looper of Markleville; daughter, Vickie Looper & husband Jay Seal of Markleville; granddaughter, Rebecca Bailey of Markleville; sisters, Mary Lou Denson of Livingston, Tennessee, Reba & husband Ralph Dishman of Madison, Tennessee and Linda Jolly of Livonia, Michigan; brothers, Billy & wife Brenda Nevins of Markleville, Carl & wife Laura Nevins of Livingston, Tennessee and Charles & wife Glenn Nevins of Anderson; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Nevins of Anderson; best friend & cousin, Estlene Jenkins. Also surviving are several nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Looper who passed away in 2000; parents, Ester & Grace Brown Nevins; sister, Betty Nevins Masters; two brothers, Kenneth & Bobby Nevins; son-in-law, Michael Bailey; two brothers-in-law, Casto Masters and Ewin Denson and a nephew, David Nevins.
