Marie DeMennato Mazzacane, 92, of 2802 Victoria Way, Coconut Creek, FL., formerly of New Haven died July 4, 2010 at Holy Cross Hospital in Ft. Lauderdale after a brief illness. She was the widow of Michael J. Mazzacane. Mrs. Mazzacane was born in New Haven Aug. 20, 1917, daughter of the late Pasquale & Theresa Maturo DeMennato. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a Registered Nurse at both St. Raphael’s and Yale New Haven Hospitals. She is survived by her son, Michael P. Mazzacane of Coconut Creek, FL.; her daughter, Joanne (Charles) Scalesse of Branford; 2 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was predeceased by two brothers, Louis and C. Paul DeMennato.
