Marie L (Mary Lou) Misci (nee Villa), LCSWDevoted, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully on Friday, August 24th in Crozer Hospital, Upland, PA. Mary Lou was born in Philadelphia, PA on November 17, 1932 to Joseph Villa and Anna (nee D’Andrea). She graduated from John W. Hallahan High School in June, 1950 and attended Immaculata College for two years. She completed her Bachelors in Social Work degree at Widener University, and her Masters Degree in Social Work at the University of Pennsylvania. She worked for the Children’s Bureau of Delaware and the Christiana Health Care system for several years. She also had a private counseling practice in Wilmington, Lou was a life-long Phillies fan, and traveled to Spring Training and various ballparks in the US to see the Phillies play. She was also a long time Villanova basketball fan. She was an amazing cook and loved to entertain her family and friends, and nothing was more fun than the annual Christmas Dinners and Sunday family dinners when she was not at her grandchildren’s enjoyed traveling and loved Disney World. She was a member of the Disney Vacation Club, so that her children and grandchildren could enjoy Disney for their lifetime. She traveled to several states in the US and Canada, Ireland, Spain, Bermuda and the Bahamas. Her most memorable trip was to China, with her daughter, Joanne, to bring home her granddaughter, Lindsey favorite times were those spent with her grandchildren. She was a permanent fixture at all Little League games, Volleyball matches, Cheerleading competitions, Choral Concerts, Christmas Plays. She enjoyed playing all kinds of games with them, teaching them how to cook, dancing under her Willow Tree, going to Beach Boys is pre-deceased by her parents and her children, Mary Misci and Andrew Joseph MisciShe is survived by her children, Joanne Misci (Bruce Lenton) and Albert, Jr. (Janice) Misci, grandchildren, Albie (Melanie), Alicia Kaestner (Thomas), Kyle (Jennifer) and Lindsey Brooke Misci, precious Great Grandson, Liam Kaestner. She is also survived by her former husband, Al Misci, Sr.
