Brunswick – Marie Jeanne Dalpe Wiesenforth, 83, of Otsego Avenue, passed away at home Sunday, June 17, 2018, in the arms of her loving husband and children, after a courageous battle with bladder cancer. Marie was the best friend and beloved wife for 63 years of Donald J. Wiesenforth, Sr.

Born July 9, 1934, in Cohoes, NY, she was daughter of the late Louis Phillipe Dalpe and Albertine Eugenie Pomerleau Dalpe. Marie spent most of her life in Troy and Brunswick,  and was a graduate of St. Peter’s Academy and Catholic Central High School, class of 1952.

Marie was employed by Manufacturers National Bank in Troy for 6 years before leaving to raise her family. While at home, she worked as bookkeeper for her husband’s business, Goodrich Displays, Inc. Eventually Marie returned to the workforce as bookkeeper for Certified Allergy Consultants, retiring in 1996. She was a loyal communicant of Our Lady of Victory Church in Sycaway.

Marie fiercely loved her family, and was a devoted and exceptional mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She so enjoyed attending their sports, plays, concerts and other activities, and was always very proud of their accomplishments. She also loved to travel with her husband, family and friends, especially to her and Don’s condo in Orange Beach, AL. We will cherish 33 years of happy memories at the family camp on Great Sacandaga Lake.  Marie loved spending summer days at Saratoga Race Track with her husband, and she liked to recall her time as a movie extra in the film The Bostonians with Christopher Reeve, filmed in Troy in the early 1980s.
