Marie Hingle Hontz, born on December 7, 1929, entered Heavens gates on March 30, 2015, while being cared for by her family. Marie’s health had been failing for the past few years and she was being cared for by her daughters and their families. Marie was born in Buras, Louisiana and grew up in New Orleans in the Faubourg Marigny. It was there she met and married the love of her life, Paul Hontz. She had three daughters while standing by her husband’s side as he served our country in the Army until he retired. Marie and her family returned to New Orleans and settled in the Faubourg Marigny. There she continued to be a homemaker and raised their three daughters. She later opened her home and her heart to Jody Johnson Spear who became her fourth daughter.
