Mrs. Hester was born March 12, 1939, to Thomas and Luvinia Chappell in Durham County, NC. She was a member of Gorman Baptist Church. Mrs. Hester will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Mrs. Hester is preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Luvinia Chappell; brothers, Buster Chappell, Leroy Chappell, and George Chappell.
Mrs. Hester is survived by her husband Thomas Edward Hester; sons, Linwood Hester (Donna) of Durham, Douglas Hester of Durham; stepchildren, Tom Hester (Laurel) and Teddy Jo Gentry (Rick) of North Carolina; sisters, Ruby Nance of Durham, Mary Sams of Durham; grandchildren, Jeanelle Johnson, Travis Hester, Kendra Hester; great-grandchildren, Brianna Russell, Ryan Russell.
