Marie Hackett (nee McAllister) was 85 when she passed away peacefully at home Saturday April 11th. Born in Teaneck, she was a resident of New Milford over 50 years. Marie was an Executive Secretary for At&T in New York City. After raising her children, she returned to work at Holy Name Medical Center in the Cashier’s Office. An avid reader Marie enjoyed gardening, tennis, and being a caretaker to all of her grandchildren. She was a parishioner of the Church of the Ascension, New Milford. Marie was the beloved wife of Robert P. Hackett, the loving mother of Paul Hackett, Robert Hackett and his wife Kristen, David Hackett and his wife Kelley, and Cathryn Monaghan and her husband Denis. She was the cherished grandmother of Robert Hackett, Michael Hackett, Katie Hackett, Jack Hackett, Ron Layne and his wife Christine, Maggie Monaghan, Kelley Monaghan, Patrick Monaghan, Matthew Monaghan and the cousin of Patricia Egan.
