Evans, Marie of Martin, Michigan Passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at Rose Arbor Hospice Residence. Age 65. Marie was born in Wilkes-Barre, PA on April 22, 1948, the daughter of the late Phillip and Irene Chapura Makara. She graduated from Nanticoke High School in 1966.
She received her Bachelors in Psychology from Lock Haven State University. She has been employed by Rambling Road Pediatrics for the past 25 years. Marie enjoyed spending time with her family and traveling. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Tom “Tommy” Evans; her children, Nicole Greg Gill of Grand Rapids and Jesse Carrie Evans of Schoolcraft; five grandchildren, Jonah, Matthew, Lauren, Landon and Alex; two sisters and three brothers, Phil Linda Makara of Wilkes-Barre, PA, Mark Sandy Makara of Mountain Top, PA, Glenn Anne Makara of Glenside, PA, Debra Makara of Shelburne Falls, MA and Renee James Conahan of Wilkes-Barre, PA; and many nieces and nephews.
