Marie Elizabeth Vasilauskas of Norwood, died peacefully on Monday morning September 13th at Pope Nursing Home in Weymouth. Marie was born in Norwood on March 27, 1926, daughter of the late Frank and Alice (Murray) Halstead. She was educated in Norwood and was a lifelong resident of the town. For most of her working career she was an Executive Secretary working for various companies. Marie was an avid sports fan and enjoyed gardening and crocheting. She was the wife of the late Edmund J. Vasilauskas. She is survived by her son Donald Vasilauskas and his wife Allyson of Holliston, her daughters Marion V. Kelly and her husband Bob of Plymouth and Joan Greenwood of Long Beach, CA. Also survived by her brother Tracy Halstead of Florida. Grandmother of Brian Kelly, Paige Pownell, Dan , Evan and Anna Vasilauskas. Great grandmother of Ellis Pownell.
