Marie E. Wright, also known as Marie Ramos-Wright passed away Friday September 30, 2022 at Virtua Hospital in Willingboro at the age of 56.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, Marie moved to Willingboro when she was 2. She was a 1984 graduate of Kennedy High School. She went on to graduate from Rutgers University in 1988 with a double major in sociology and criminal justice. She then received her law degree from the Seton Hall School of Law in 1991. Marie began her career with a clerkship in Essex County for the Hon. Donald King.
She then worked for Malsbury and Armante from 1993-1996 and Allstate Insurance Co. from 1996-2008. From 2008-2010 Marie did per diem work and in 2010 began to work for Geico Insurance, where she was employed at the time of her passing. She was a former member of the Burlington County Bar Association and was a member of the Literary Ladies Book Club. In her spare time, Marie enjoyed hiking, baking, gardening, reading, walking and spending time with her family, good friends and her dog Coco.
She was predeceased by her father, Segundo Ramos, and her brother Edward Ramos. Marie is survived by her children; Mariel Wright, Miranda Wright, Mia Wright and Mikaela Wright, her grandchildren; Dominic Wright, Kenneth Wright and Anthony Mickens, her mother Virginia (nee Sandiago) Ramos and her siblings; Nellie Ramos, Rosemary (Ramos) Green and Marleen Ramos as well as many close friends and extended family.
