Marie Elaina Noblitt, 71, of, Galesburg, died Thursday, February 18, 2021, at 8:50 a.m. at Monmouth Nursing Home, Monmouth. Marie was born May 5, 1949, in Burlington, IA the daughter of Roy and Goldie E. Cook.
She married Howard Noblitt on April 11, 1981, in Oquawka.
He preceded her in death on May 15, 2003.
Marie is survived by three daughters, Rachel Jones, Melissa Colwell, and Kristina Rogers all of Galesburg; and two sisters, Teea Scott and Terri Cook-Edgington both of Burlington, IA. Marie is also survived by four grandchildren, Jaclynn Sloan, Zachary Bauer, Chance Godsil, and Sophie Rogers; and two great-grandchildren, Amaya and Alijah. Along with her husband and parents, Marie was preceded in death by one brother, Whitney Cox. Marie enjoyed collecting dolls and was a prolific knitter. She was also an avid reader, especially mysteries and science fiction.
