VENDETTO, MARIE
Marie Vendetto, 89, passed away peacefully with her family by her side January 5, 2016 in the Hospital of St. Raphael after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late James Vendetto. A life long city resident Marie was born in New Haven November 12, 1926 a daughter of the late Anthony and Marie Gulisano DiNicola. She was a proud employee of the City of New Haven for decades. Mrs. Vendetto is survived by her sons: James (Joni) Vendetto Jr., David, John (Deana), and Mark (Nancy) Vendetto; a daughter Maryann Vendetto; brothers, Vincent and Sal DiNicola; grandchildren, James Vendetto III, Bianca and Nicholas Vendetto, Jennifer Tousignant, Erica Senna, David Vendetto Jr., Talia and Sofia Vendetto, and Tishia Flanagan; and her great grandchildren, Elanna, Noelle, and Dominic. She was predeceased by sisters, Carmel Ricca and Teresa Simone; and a brother Anthony DiNicola. A truly special woman Marie was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, and aunt who was kind and caring to everyone she met.
