Marie P. Byrd, age 87, of Rensselaer, Indiana, passed away Monday, December 14, 2020 at her residence.
She was born in West Virginia on April 25, 1933, the daughter of Sherman and Minnie (Blankenship) Pack. Marie was married to AJ Byrd, who preceded her in death in 1993. Marie was retired from Schumacher’s where she previously worked as a tester. Marie loved being a Mimi and enjoyed her family as much as possible. She also had a love for gardening, especially growing roses. Marie was affiliated with the Flatwoods Church of Christ in Flatwoods, KY.
Marie is survived by her children, Diane “Cookie” Burge, Leta Collins, Robert Byrd, Anita Gordon, Alan Byrd, and Amy Houle; siblings, Edith Varney, Bessie Hesson, Clifford Pack, Ralph Pack, and Johnny Pack; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 21 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Joe Pack and Howard Pack.
