Our extended family is saddened to announce the passing of our amazing mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend.
Born and raised in a small town in Germany, she was the only child of Willy and Maria Gingter. After WWII, Marianne graduated from medical school in an era when it was rare for any woman to reach upper-level education. She madly fell in love with fellow classmate, Rudolf, with whom she shared an ever-lasting bond. They were joyfully married for 59 years until his passing in 2013.
Marianne had a zest for life and fully dedicated her life to family.
We are grateful that Marianne is at peace. Marianne is survived by many who will always love her deeply – her four children Walter, Werner, Ralph, and Ingrid; daughters-in-law Gisela, Ellyn, Rita; 10 grandchildren and their partners Andrea (Niels), Julie (Dylan), Heidi, Max (Marlen), Eric (Christina), Karl (Sara), Anthony, Martin, Krista, Maria; and 4 great-grandchildren Hannah, Claire, Mercy, Elias; along with many, many other very special and long-time friends from California, Colorado, Oklahoma, Germany and beyond. Marianne-Mami-Oma will be greatly missed for her loving hugs, kisses, humor and positivity. Wir haben Dich so lieb!
