Beloved mother, grandmother, sister and cousin passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at Covenant HealthCare in Saginaw, she was 77 years old.  Marianne Margherita Cesere was born on July 15, 1944 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Peter L. and Ann J. (Napolitano) Cesere. She graduated from Arthur Hill High School in 1962. On August 1, 1964 she married Robert L. Wenzel. He preceded her in death on March 30, 1978. She is survived by their children Robert (Tina) Wenzel and Lisa (Tim) Naessens and grandsons Brandon and Daniel Naessens.

On June 27, 1981 Marianne and Jack Paquette were married and she became stepmother to Renee, Matthew, Jason and Craig Paquette who survive her.  Also surviving her are seven step grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.  Jack preceded Marianne in death on September 16, 2012.

She is also survived by her brothers Leo (Ann) Cesere and Pete (Pat) Cesere; Sisters-in-law Kathleen Cesere, Sheila (Wayne) Boyd, Gail (Frank) Yaklin, Rose Wenzel, Joann Hausman, Patricia (Robert) Coffey and Laraine Paquette; Brothers-in-law, Robert (Mary Kay) Paquette, and Jerry Paquette. Marianne was preceded in death by her brother Robert Cesere; Brothers-in-law William Wenzel, Don Hausman and Arthur Paquette. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins, whom she loved to spend time with.  She also leaves behind her friend and companion Roger Ramthum.

During the 1980’s Marianne worked as a lunch room mom at Shields Elementary School.     Many years later during the warm months in Saginaw Marianne enjoyed spending time with her daughter and grandsons.  She was always a proud attendee at the boys’ activities.  Marianne lived at Pioneer Village in Florida during the winter months for many years and enjoyed participating in activities there such as bingo, euchre and golfing. She excelled at shuffleboard, winning several awards. She cherished the many friends she made while wintering there. Whether in Florida or Saginaw she always looked forward to a fun time playing the casino slot machines.
