Marianne Ina Lewis passed away November 1, 2019 after a short, brave battle with cancer.

She was born on November 21, 1962 in Arlington, Virginia to Philip and Mary Ellen King. The family moved to Cocoa Beach, Florida in 1971.

Marianne attended Freedom 7 Elementary School, Roosevelt Junior High School and Cocoa Beach High School.
She graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Business from the University of Central Florida.

After an internship with Barnett Bank she was a loan officer but quickly transitioned to a much more enjoyable job in the accounting department of Premier Cruise Lines, The Big Red Boat. With the end of the Big Red Boat years, she found great satisfaction working for Occupational and Environmental Health at the Kennedy Space Center where she remained until retirement.

Marianne met the love of her life, William Hill Lewis in 1980 and they have been inseparable ever since. This August was their 34th wedding anniversary.

Marianne always enjoyed traveling, seeing new places and meeting new people. With her infectious smile she was always making new friends. She truly enjoyed all outside activities. She loved her annual snow skiing trips and pretended she was a reverse snow bird. Since retirement, Marianne and Hill have enjoyed many adventures to the state and national parks in their camper.

Marianne loved the Cocoa Beach Community. She never missed the Our Saviour Catholic Fair, the Cocoa Beach Art Show and enjoyed the monthly block parties. She loved riding her bicycle around town and telling Hill all of her memories and adventures from her childhood. She knew every street by name and would always tell him who had lived there and what mischief they had gotten into.

Every year on Thanksgiving morning Marianne and Hill would host a joint neighborhood breakfast for the Turkey Trot Run and invite runners to join in. She would even make a plate of food for the police officers at the end of the race and most of the time would have to chase their car down the street to deliver it.

Marianne is survived by her husband, William Hill Lewis III, sister Patricia Paine (Jonathan), brother Philip King (Lou Ann), nieces Elizabeth Paine and Alexandra King, nephews James Paine (Christina) and Turner King, and sister-in-law Betsy Lewis.
