Mrs. Rakowsky died Saturday, December 13, 2014 at Monarch Hospice Home, Lincoln.
Marian was born December 24, 1922 near Hoskins, the daughter of Willard and Anna (Fenske) Fletcher. She moved with her family near Spencer and then back to Hoskins where she received her schooling. Marian married Weldon A. Butch Rakowsky on November 14, 1938 and the couple farmed North of Madison until they retired in 2007. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and their Ladies Aid.
Marian enjoyed gardening, dancing, playing cards and watching birds.
Marian is survived by her children and their spouses, Sharon and Ronald Veskrna of Lincoln, Lucretia and Donald Heaps of Lincoln, Arland Rakowsky of Hollywood, Florida, Pamela and Russell Ropte of Grand Island, and Mark and Charlene Rakowsky of Madison, eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in November 2012, three brothers, three sisters, and one grandson Matthew Rakowsky, and two great grandchildren, Wade Veskrna and Sarah Veskrna.
