Marian Elizabeth Hoyt, 86, formerly of 339 Eastern St. died January 16, 2009 in Yale New Haven Hospital. Born in New Haven Jan. 13, 1923 she was the daughter of the late John G. and Nellie Hines Heinz. Mrs. Hoyt worked as a medical clerk for the VA Hospital and also was a veteran of WWII where she served as a sergeant in the WAC. She is survived by her 3 sons; James Hoyt of Fairfax Station, VA, Paul Hoyt of Litchfield Park, AZ, and Robert Hoyt of Marietta, GA. She was predeceased by her brothers John Heinz, Ass’t.Fire Chief Paul W.Heinz,NHFD and Chief James Heinz, Orange P.D.; and her sisters, Dr. Harriet Tirman and Ruth Brown. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren.
