Marian “Davey” E. Chidley, 84, of Clyde died on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at the Bellevue Hospital.
Mrs. Chidley was born in Millersburg, Ohio on May 22, 1928 to the now deceased Glenn and Mabel (Lemmon) Davis. She graduated from Millersburg High School in 1945 and received an Associates Degree in Secretary/Administration. She had worked at the Clyde Public Library and was currently working at the Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Center in the Hayes House.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Clyde and a member of the Sisters Prayer Group at the church. Davey assisted at the dinners that are held at the church. She was also a member of Clyde Progress Club and had been a involved in Camp Fire Girls and with the Clyde High School music activities, when her daughters were in school.
On May 4, 1951, she married Joseph Chidley III and he preceded her in death on June 28, 2011.
Survivors include three daughters, Carole Chidley, Edgefield, SC; Sue E. Chidley, West Lafayette, Ohio and Charlotte (Kit D.) Kuss, Valparaiso, Florida; two grandchildren; Kristopher (Danyelle) Kuss and Kelsey (Austin) Noll. Two sisters, Dorothy McReynolds, Arroyo Grande, CA and Janet Mangan, Brookville, Ohio and a half sister, Karen Burr, Seattle, WA.
Davey was preceded in death by a brother, William Davis.
