Marian A. Simpson (Nee: Wright) of Burlington Township passed away at her home on Tuesday, May 3, 2016, at the age of 78. She was an active parishioner of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Burlington. She retired from Universal Health Services as an Assistant Vice President after 20 years of service.
Marian was active in the Burlington Township Senior Citizens, Burlington VFW and on Facebook, keeping in contact with old and new friends. She was a generous and caring person willing to help anyone at any time. She was a strong-willed woman; she spoke her mind and called it like she saw it. A trait that many people loved and respected her for. You will not have met a person that loved ice cream more than her, and we are sure Ummms will be missing her.
During the Christmas Season she enjoyed having friends and family over for food, fun and laughter. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Mr. Edward W. Simpson, and her daughter and son, Darlene and William “Bill” Simpson. She is survived by her son and daughter in-law Edward (Gail) Simpson, her granddaughter Nicole and her fiancee Connor Pensiero, daughter in-law Sue Simpson (Nee: Fox), and her grandsons John and Scott.
