Mrs. Marian A. Jakubiak, of Bay City, MI, formerly of Turner, MI, passed away early Friday morning, December 26, 2014 at The Carriage House of Bay City, age 84. The daughter of the late Howard and Edna (Nutall) Hardy, she was born February 3, 1930 in Bay City. Marian worked most of her life on the family farm in Turner. She was also an excellent homemaker and a caring mother. Marian enjoyed country western music and loved to play cards and bingo.
Mrs. Jakubiak is survived by her three children, Wayne (Michelle) Jakubiak of AuGres, Mary (Tom) Meerschaert of Bay City and Joyce (Victor) Gay of Kawkawlin; six grandchildren, Carol (Lee), Christopher (Amy), Val (Dave), Nicholas, Greg and Kim(Scott); two brothers, LeRoy “Buck” (Lucille) Hardy and Wayne (Deb) Hardy; two sisters-in-law, Ellen Hardy and Carol Cody; a special cousin, Betty Kroll; her dear friends, Jack and Bonnie Bedell; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Marian was also preceded in death by her husband, David J. Jakubiak; three brothers, Vernon Hardy, Robert “Hack” Hardy and Larry Hardy; and a son-in-law, Patrick Kowalczyk.
