Maria G. Villarreal, 99, of Avilla, passed away on November 17, 2018, at Presence Sacred Heart Home in Avilla. Born in Coquilla, Mexico, on December 23, 1918, to Ricardo and Tomasita (Gutierrez) Villarreal.
She immigrated to the United States with her family when she was four years old. Maria was married to Fernado Cervantes. He preceded her in death. She worked as a meat packer in San Antonio, TX, before moving to Avilla in 2008.
Maria is survived by two daughters, Silvia Cervantes and Lupe (Rusty) Toth; five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and spouse, she was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
