Maria Teresa Myers, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2007, in Fort Walton Beach, Fla. She was born May 21, 1942, in Madrid, Spain, to Jose Horcajo Velasquez and Loreto Garcia del Rio.
She was the wife of the late Hilliard Joseph “Sonny” Myers, who preceded her in death on October 20, 2007.
Mrs. Myers married Sonny Myers in Spain and moved to the United States in 1976, settling in Fort Walton Beach with her family. She was very proud of her Spanish heritage. She never became a citizen of the U. S., but loved the country with all of her heart.

She is survived by her son, Dennis J. Myers of Seminole, Fla.; daughters, Mary C. Voyles of Niceville, and Susan L. Headley of Lehigh Acres, Fla.; mother, Loreto Garcia del Rio; brother, Jose Horcajo Garcia; sisters, Loreto Horcajo Garcia and Andrea Horcajo Garcia, all of Madrid, Spain; eight grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
