Maria Elaine “Mary Helen” Columbis Stone, 60, of Birmingham, Alabama went to be with Our Lord on April 20, 2016. Mary Helen was born on November 21, 1955 in Birmingham, Alabama. She attended Robert E Lee and West End High. She was a floral designer and caregiver to the elderly. She was a member of Holy Trinity Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Cathedral. Mary Helen dedicated her life to her husband, Dewight, of 40 years and their two children; Michael and Christina. She was always the life of the party and never met a stranger, always surrounded by family and friends. The love for her family was fierce and everlasting. She is survived by her husband, Dwight Stone; daughter, Christina Stone; sisters, Angeline “Kiki” Harkness, Matina Conner, Denise Watkins, and Niki Patton. She is preceded in death by her son, Michael Stone; parents, Petros and Pearl Columbis; sister Joanne Johnson.
