- Date Of Death: March 5, 2021
- State: Illinois
On March 5th our beloved Biby (Maria Roman) went to be with the Lord and joined her father Luis Santo Roman in eternity. Biby will forever be remembered as courageous, a warrior, an encourager and a giver. In the midst of her medical battles she always ministered, counselled others, and made them laugh. She was survived by her mother Juana Roman and her siblings, Sol Ivette (Tata), Luis (Cookie), Annette (Nita) and Felipe (Fili). Her brother in-laws Anibal and Julio and sister in-laws Marisol and RC.
Biby never had children but adored her nieces and nephews “also known as her children” Joshua, Melissa, Gio Sr, Jonathan, Nina, Stephanie, Amanda, Ashley, Aaron, Luis, Elijah, Nailanie Gio, Gigi, Jazzy and Noah. She was loved greatly by her aunts, uncles and cousins and extended family, friends and caregivers. Biby never sugar coated the truth and “will tell you like it is” yet full of poise and grace. She impacted everyone she encountered. Biby attended Roberto Clemente high school and graduated with honors and was in the ROTC for all four years. She started a nursing career but due to her illness she was unable to finish the program. She had enough medical knowledge that she was able to give an accurate medical diagnosis. We know that the hand of the God was always upon Biby. At the age of 8 years old, due to strep throat, she went into kidney failure and started dialysis. At the age of 15, God allowed her beloved mother to be a match to give her a kidney. The kidney functioned for 10 years and was then rejected by her body. For 27 years the Lord gave her strength, courage, to endure dialysis. The sickness did not impede her from living life to the fullest. Biby’s trust and strength was in the Lord to overcome everything. In her last moments she knew that she was loved by her family and that Jesus was always with her no matter what. Biby, longed to walk the streets of heaven. She believed in 2 Corinthians 5:8 “We live a joyful confidence, yet at the same time we take delight in the thought of leaving our bodies behind to be at home with the Lord”. This is not a goodbye, it is until we meet again in eternity.
