Maria M. “Ri” Kulp, 42, of Bethlehem, entered the nearer presence of her Lord on Friday, February 3, 2012 at St. Lukes Hospital, Fountain Hill. She and her husband Chester A. “Chet” Kulp, shared 6 years of marriage. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Thaddeus J. “Ted” and Norene (Keegan) Machala. Ri was a graduate of Swain School in Allentown and Goucher College in Towson, MD. She also received her Masters degree from Kutztown University. Ri worked for Kids Peace for 14 years as a special education teacher until 2005. She was a member of Edgeboro Moravian Church in Bethlehem and the Ladies Ancient Order of the Hibernians. Survivors: her loving Husband; sister, Merici M. Machala of Bethlehem; uncle, Chet Machala and his family.
