Maria Martina Molinar de Benninghoff

November 11, 1934-November 9, 2022

Our beloved mom, grandmother, great-grandmother & friend passed away surrounded by her family on November 9, 2022.

Our mom was born November 11, 1934, in Chihuahua, Mexico, and immigrated to the U.S. in 1961, after marrying our father.  They initially lived in San Diego, CA, and moved to Oxnard in1971.

Our mom was a loving, courageous, & hard-working woman.  After leaving her entire family behind in Mexico, she worked in housekeeping, maid, farm working, packing houses, and eventually as an electronic assembly line worker, which made her extremely proud.

She had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening.  She loved to sing.  Sang at the Mexican Fiestas in SD. She also loved animals.  She’d enjoyed walking the dogs to Speedymart every day to pickup her scratchers.  She was also always ready to go to the casino in her red “lucky” blouse!

Our mom is preceded in death by our father, John W. Benninghoff. She is survived by her four children, Blanca R. Perez (Vincent), John Benninghoff (Gloria), Caroline B. Parra (Art), and Bernard Benninghoff (Brenda) of Guadalupe. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Vanessa, Michael, Phillip, Candice, Eloina (Nina), Michael, Bryan, Sean, Aja, Olivia, Carolyn, & Anthony; along with many great-grandchildren & great-great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by her dear friend, Helen Winbush.
